Tecno has appointed musician, Nyamari Ongegu popularly known as Nyashinski as the new brand ambassador for the CAMON 20 series.
Speaking during the pre-order announcement event, TECNO Kenya Brand Manager, Peter Shi announced Nyashinski as the brand ambassador noting that their team has worked hard to create a phone that meets the needs of their customers.
“We’re thrilled to have Nyashinski join our team and to offer our customers the opportunity to pre-order the new CAMON 20 series. Our team has worked hard to create a phone that meets the needs of our customers, and we’re excited to see the response to this new product,” Peter Shi said.
Tecno has also opened pre-orders for the Camon series which comprises the Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro, Camon 20 Pro 5G, and Camon 20 Premier ahead of its scheduled official launch in Kenya.
The series succeeds the CAMON 19 and comes with some different upgrades.
This includes 6.67″ AMOLED screens with 120Hz refresh rate, 8GB RAM and storage options starting at 256GB. The series also comes with 8GB of virtual RAM and has Android 13.
TECNO says the new CAMON 20 promises to deliver exceptional camera quality and design with upgrades from both the CAMON 18 and CAMON 19 devices.
It is available for pre-order starting 9th May 2023 and will be available for purchase on 18th May 2023.
Customers can pre-order the CAMON 20 series at all TECNO stores and Safaricom Shops countrywide.

TECNO has also unveiled its latest breakthrough in material innovation in smartphone design – the “Magic Skin” in Africa, making it the first to bring this innovative material to African consumers. It is a brand-new material technology that promises to create phone backs that are skin-friendly, stylish, and easy to clean.
This new material will be integrated into the body of TECNO’s phones and applied to CAMON, SPARK, and POP series, ensuring African consumers stay abreast of the global trends on smartphone design innovations.

TECNO’s CAMON 20 Series, with its groundbreaking stylish design, was unanimously praised by the judges of MUSE Design Awards 2023 thanks to its industry-first CAMON PUZZLE deconstructionist design.
This win further illustrates TECNO’s strength in product design as the company gains recognition from well-established international authorities.
Held by the International Awards Association (IAA), the MUSE Design Awards is one of the most influential international awards in global design, known for its rigorous judging system and high-quality criteria.
The awards focus on exploring artistic beauty and design innovation, aiming to foster “design muses” and promote global innovation and design excellence.
This year’s MUSE Design Awards received over 6,300 entries from countries worldwide and were judged by a jury panel composed of 51 expert judges from creative and design-led disciplines across the globe.
