The winner of the Eastern Africa Ernest and Young (EY) Entrepreneur of The Year 2015 Award, Mayur Shah of Kenafric Industries, will be among the 49 representatives of different countries to grace the 16th EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in Monaco.
This brings the number of participants for this event to 572 since its inception 2001. Kenafric Industries was recognized for the regional award for its ingenuity in adopting innovative platforms transforming the company into one of the leading manufacturers and exporters of confectionery, food, footwear and stationery products.
EY is a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services.

Mr Gachahi said that EY believes in the power of entrepreneurship to build a better working world and an entrepreneur’s ability to take an idea and build, scale, and nurture a great company.
This year’s program includes a series of summits, keynote speeches, panel discussions and events of special interest to the entrepreneurs, government officials and leading business people in attendance, including EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year alumni.
The five-day itinerary will include Accelerating Entrepreneurs, where five high-potential entrepreneurs from Europe will present business plans to a panel of “Growth Coaches” during the event in Monaco.
The chief executive and Managing Director of Equity Bank, James Mwangi is among the previous winners of the prestigious international award.
This year’s winner will be announced at a gala awards ceremony this coming Saturday evening.
